I don’t know about you, but I almost always come home at the end of the week thankful that I can rest up over the weekend. My body and muscles always ache from the daily grind, especially in the lower back and neck regions.

So, as of last week, I’ve decided to do something about it, and by that I mean get a massage chair for me to rest up on after work. Something that acts as both a piece of furniture in the lounge and something with therapeutic options at the same time.

I’ve been reading up on, and researching around and there seems to be a lot to take in when it comes to this. Keeping track of all the included features can prove difficult, but one things for sure, after looking up how much it would cost me to hire a masseuse, this is by far the cheaper option. Not to mention the convenience of having it at all times in your household, no need to commute.

leather-massage-chairOne website I stumbled across, which is called The Massage Throne, has massage chair reviews, buying guides and ratings designed to make the shopping and research process simpler and easily understandable. They have whittled down and filtered out the good models from the bad through looking at consumer feedback. This has saved me time, and I’m actually looking into getting a Human Touch, or Panasonic brand.

Whichever I go with, it will need to provide many massage rollers and airbags at various points. It should also be heated to help me cure muscle pain which is currently a huge problem for me. The ability for it to recline into a zero gravity position would be a bonus, but not a necessity.

So, with those things in mind, I think I now have a pretty good idea of what chair I need. They tend to be expensive, so I want to make sure I spend plenty of time looking into this before I decide anything.

What drove me to take an interest in massaging chairs all of a sudden? Well, my friend Susan has one in her room. And I actually had a sit down on one of them and spent about ten minutes on it. I only managed to use the rollers, but that alone was so relaxing. And from that moment on, I knew I had to get at least a basic model for myself. I hear it can help relieve a bit of stress too, which would certainly not go amiss in my case.
